Job Description

  • Provide L2/L3 application and database support for Oracle-based systems, ensuring timely incident resolution and system uptime.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to Oracle databases, PL/SQL code, and backend logic.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to support application needs.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Support integration and data migration activities between Oracle systems and other enterprise applications.
  • Perform performance tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and database jobs.
  • Participate in change requests, patching activities, and system enhancements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of support processes, configurations, and knowledge base articles.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Oracle Technical Support Engineer (Oracle EBS) should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle application or database support.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, debugging, and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture, schema design, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in supporting or integrating Java-based applications with Oracle databases.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, or CM is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow, or BI Publisher is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic, IAM, or SSO integration preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices or structured application support frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of Java frameworks (Spring Boot, JSP, Servlets) for issue tracing or enhancement support.
  • Familiarity with Oracle JDeveloper for customizations and extensions.
