We are looking for a dedicated Network Security Specialist to oversee and enhance network security protocols in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur and requires expertise in the Banking industry.

Job Description

  • Design, deploy, and manage firewall solutions across vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto
  • Administer and optimize Secure Web Gateway (SWG)/Proxy solutions including Zscaler and Bluecoat (Symantec)
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot F5 Load Balancers (LTM/GTM) to ensure application availability and performance
  • Implement and support VMware NSX (SDN) for micro-segmentation and secure virtual networking
  • Manage and integrate multi-vendor security stacks, with emphasis on Fortinet and Cisco ecosystems
  • Perform security policy management, rule reviews, and optimization across firewalls and proxies
  • Monitor network security events, perform troubleshooting, and support incident response activities
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud, infrastructure, SOC) for security architecture alignment
  • Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call or escalation support as needed

The Successful Applicant

A successful Network Security Specialist should have:Relevant certifications (at least one preferred):

  • Fortinet NSE certifications
  • Cisco CCNP Security / CCIE Security
  • Palo Alto PCNSE
  • F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA)
  • VMware NSX Certification (VCP-NV)



Exposure to cloud security (AWS/Azure) is an advantage

  • Experience with automation (Python/Ansible) is a plus
