A leading EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) client in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Material Planner to join their expanding team in the Northern Region. With a strong vision to strengthen their market presence and enhance global competitiveness, the company continues to build on its success through operational excellence, efficient supply chain management, and continuous innovation.

As part of their next phase of growth, they are looking for a detail‑oriented planning professional who can effectively manage material requirements, ensure timely availability of components, and support production schedules. The role will play a critical part in demand planning, inventory control, and coordination with internal teams and suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid production disruptions. Additionally, the Material Planner will contribute to improving overall supply chain efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability to support the company's growing business demands.

Job Description

  • Plan and manage material requirements to ensure timely availability in line with production schedules and customer demand.
  • Generate and track purchase orders, ensuring accurate coverage of all client-required materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels, maintain item master data, and ensure optimal stock positioning while minimising excess and shortages.
  • Act as the key liaison for client consigned materials and RMA (Return Material Authorisation) activities, including daily transaction reviews.
  • Perform data collection, validation, and reporting (e.g., BOM, PPV, inventory metrics) to support operational and financial tracking.
  • Identify material risks or supply gaps, escalate issues proactively, and implement corrective actions to avoid production disruptions.
  • Support NPI, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and planning accuracy.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or a similar function.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills within a manufacturing or EMS environment.
  • Possesses basic people or process management capabilities, with the ability to support cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
