Job Description

  • Lead and manage end-to-end Third-Party Security Assessments (TPSA), serving as the primary point of contact for client security due diligence requests and ensuring timely completion of assessments.
  • Review, assess, and complete security questionnaires covering cybersecurity, cloud security, data protection, operational resilience, business continuity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Represent the organization's cybersecurity and technology risk posture during client engagements, workshops, and security review discussions, translating technical controls into business-friendly language.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security, Technology Services, Enterprise Architecture, Data Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk, and business stakeholders to gather evidence and validate control effectiveness.
  • Address client security concerns, coordinate responses with subject matter experts, and escalate complex security or compliance issues where necessary.
  • Maintain and enhance centralized repositories of TPSA responses, security evidence, compliance documentation, certifications, and frequently requested client artifacts while ensuring adherence to information classification requirements.
  • Support regulatory and compliance-related assessments aligned with frameworks and standards such as BNM RMiT, PDPA, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, operational resilience requirements, and internal security policies.
  • Develop TPSA metrics, reporting dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying assessment trends, standardizing response processes, and driving automation and efficiency improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Security Assurance & Reverse TPSA Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk Management, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5-8 years of experience in Information Security, Technology Risk, Security Governance, Security Assurance, IT Audit, or Third-Party Risk Management.
  • Strong expertise in cybersecurity governance, risk management, cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), vulnerability management, incident response, and data protection frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, and privacy controls within regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SOC Reports, CIS Controls, BNM RMiT, and Malaysia PDPA.
  • Proven ability to assess client security requirements, map controls to compliance obligations, identify risks and gaps, and recommend remediation actions.
  • Excellent written communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical security concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Experience responding to client security due diligence questionnaires, TPSAs, and customer-facing security assurance engagements for enterprise or multinational organizations.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CCSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer are highly preferred.
  • Background in financial services, insurance, or highly regulated industries, with a track record of improving TPSA turnaround times, maintaining compliance, supporting client onboarding, and enhancing security assurance processes.
