Job Description

  • Lead legal, compliance and governance matters across multiple business entities.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to management, business units and boards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and listing requirements.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial, financing and property agreements.
  • Support acquisitions, investments, financing transactions and due diligence.
  • Develop and enhance compliance frameworks, policies and control processes.
  • Manage regulatory reporting, audits and engagements with authorities.
  • Oversee legal risks, investigations, disputes and compliance breaches.
  • Prepare board papers, governance reports and committee presentations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive business growth within risk appetite.
  • Lead compliance training and promote a strong governance culture.
  • Manage external counsel and deliver strategic legal and compliance projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manager, Legal and Compliance should have:

  • A recognised degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
  • Min. 7 - 10 years of relevant legal / compliance experience.
  • Good understanding of legal and compliance requirements in the property industry.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents.
  • Problem-solving skills to address complex legal and regulatory challenges effectively.
  • Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive approach to staying informed about legal and regulatory updates.
