The Maintenance Manager will lead engineering and maintenance teams to ensure high equipment reliability and efficient plant operations. This role is critical in minimising downtime, supporting production targets, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, including engineers and technicians, to ensure safe and efficient daily operations.
  • Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for processing, filling, packaging, and utility equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze downtime trends, and implement improvement initiatives to maximize reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support for equipment breakdowns, process deviations, and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements across maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Production and Quality teams to achieve operational targets, product quality standards, and continuous process improvement.
  • Oversee the maintenance and reliability of critical utilities, including boilers, HVAC systems, air compressors, and water treatment facilities.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, resource planning, spare parts inventory, and contractor performance to optimize costs and service levels.
  • Lead CAPEX projects involving equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, plant expansions, and new machinery installations.
  • Prepare and present maintenance KPIs, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management to support business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 8 years in manufacturing, preferably food/beverage/liquid processing
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems, automation, and maintenance strategy
  • Experience with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a must to liaise with stakeholders
