Job Description

  • Lead and manage the plant maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted daily operations.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production machinery, utilities, and facility equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities to support production targets and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and external service contractors to optimize resources and costs.
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze maintenance data, and recommend improvements to increase asset reliability.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements across all maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams on capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and reporting systems to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience managing maintenance teams in plastic, packaging, or process industries.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance practices.
  • Experience with injection moulding, extrusion, or plastic processing equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
