Job Description

  • Act as the Product Owner for payment-related products and solutions within the Malaysian market.
  • Collaborate closely with regional product teams to understand product roadmaps, strategic priorities, and business objectives.
  • Translate regional product vision into local market requirements and execution plans.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Own and manage product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
  • Work with engineering, QA, and design teams to deliver product enhancements and new features.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Participate in R&D initiatives to explore emerging payment technologies, digital commerce trends, and new product concepts.
  • Coordinate product launches, enhancements, and go-to-market activities within Malaysia.
  • Monitor product performance and recommend continuous improvements based on business and customer insights.
  • Ensure product alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and payment ecosystem developments.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4-8 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or related roles.
  • Prior exposure to payments, fintech, e-wallets, payment gateways, acquiring, issuer, merchant solutions, or digital banking environments is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum product development environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage business and technical teams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear product specifications and user stories.
  • Experience working with regional or multinational teams will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven individual who enjoys innovation, experimentation, and building new products.
