This role provides hands-on exposure to global private equity secondary investments, including deal sourcing, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and portfolio management. The successful candidate will work closely with investment committees, fund managers, and investors while supporting fundraising efforts within a fast-growing Asia-focused alternative investment platform managing over US$800 million in assets.

About Our Client

A private equity firm specializing in alternative investments globally, with a focus on secondary fund-of-funds (FoF) strategies, particularly LP- and GP-led transactions across buyout, growth, and VC opportunities.

Job Description

  • Originate and evaluate new private equity secondary investment opportunities.
  • Lead the end-to-end investment process, including initial screening, fund assessment, valuation analysis, due diligence, transaction documentation, and preparation of investment papers for committee review.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and pricing with counterparties, driving transactions through to successful completion.
  • Monitor portfolio investments by analyzing fund performance, reviewing periodic reports, engaging with fund managers, and maintaining ongoing stakeholder relationships.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Investment Manager should have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Investment Banking (CF, M&A, ECM, DCM, Equity Research, Client Coverage etc), Big4 Advisory or buy-side (Private Markets, Public Markets, CorpDev/BizDev),
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in additional Asian languages would be a good to have
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
