Job Description

  • Own MPL MY's brand narrative and campaign direction - define the story the league tells across the season, playoffs, and key moments
  • Lead marketing strategy and execution across social, digital, and campaign activation, directing the marketing team to deliver against it
  • Lead production and broadcast output - work directly with the Production Lead to ensure match-day delivery, player moments, and narrative come through at a professional standard
  • Own the KOL and influencer ecosystem - build and manage relationships with KOLs and restreamers that extend MPL MY's reach beyond the core fanbase
  • Provide narrative and relationship support on government relations and partnership conversations, working alongside the PIC on BD-adjacent storytelling
  • Own community storytelling - define the voice and content that speaks to MPL MY's fans, in coordination with the Operations team who build and manage fan communities on the ground
  • Lead, coach, and develop a marketing and content team - set direction, raise the quality bar, and hold the function accountable for outcomes delivered through others
  • Translate the PIC's commercial and strategic direction into narrative, campaigns, and content that build long-term brand equity for MPL MY
  • Represent MPL MY's marketing function in regional and cross-functional forums



The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Marketing should have:

  • A degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to interpret market trends and campaign performance.
  • A deep understanding of the gaming industry.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
