The Head of Human Resources will serve as a strategic and operational HR leader, partnering closely with the Principal and school leadership to strengthen organisational capability, culture, and performance. Operating within the School's global governance framework, the role focuses on localising global standards effectively, driving people strategy, and enabling leaders through a high‑impact HR function.

Job Description

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Act as a trusted partner to the Principal and leadership team on all people‑related matters
  • Lead the school's people strategy in alignment with overall organisational priorities
  • Provide steady leadership during periods of organisational transition and reset



Organisational Resilience & Capability

  • Strengthen organisational resilience through effective structure, succession planning, and talent pipelines
  • Drive consistency and adoption of SOPs across the school
  • Support leaders in managing performance, engagement, and change



Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build leadership capability at all levels through targeted development initiatives
  • Address inconsistencies in talent development and performance management
  • Foster a coaching and accountability culture across leadership teams



Culture & Employee Experience

  • Champion an inclusive, high‑performance, and values‑led culture
  • Strengthen engagement, trust, and communication across the school community
  • Partner with leaders to embed organisational values into everyday people practices



HR Operations, Governance & Systems

  • Oversee core HR operations including payroll, immigration, recruitment, and employee relations
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws and regulatory requirements
  • Drive effective use of HR systems and data to support decision‑making



Data‑Driven People Decisions

  • Leverage HRIS and people analytics to inform workforce planning and leadership decisions
  • Improve utilisation of HR data to support insight‑led discussions with leadership



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in HR transformation, beyond transactional HR
  • Comfort operating with a Principal as MD‑equivalent
  • Experience rebuilding or strengthening HR functions in high‑turnover or change environments
  • Demonstrated strength in:
    • Talent development at all organisational levels
    • Culture and change management
    • SOP governance, standardisation, and consistency
  • HRIS and people analytics for leadership decision‑making
  • A leadership style that is resilient, grounded, credible, and calm under pressure
  • Strong influencing skills without reliance on excessive hierarchy
