Michael Page is hiring for a role in the FI Shared Services industry, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Description

  • Provide overall leadership for the Malaysia-based compliance function, serving as the key escalation point for complex compliance matters and driving a culture of integrity, accountability, and strong governance.
  • Lead FI Operations across operations, finance, risk & compliance.
  • Partner with regional and global stakeholders to execute compliance strategies, support business objectives, and ensure alignment with regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence by enhancing processes, improving efficiency, and supporting the continued growth and development of the compliance shared services hub.
  • Manage people and organisational matters
  • Lead strategic projects, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen compliance effectiveness and service delivery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Leader should have:

    • Proven experience within financial services industry.
    • Strong understanding of FI operations across people management, risk, finance, tech & compliance.
    • Experience leading compliance oversight programmes, control functions, or operational teams, with responsibility for performance, resource planning, and stakeholder management.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse data, metrics, and KPIs to support decision-making and drive operational improvements.
    • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
    • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities across functions and seniority levels.
    • Professional qualifications, postgraduate education, or relevant compliance certifications would be advantageous.
