Job Description

  • Classify chemical and non-chemical products in accordance with customs regulations
  • Maintain HS codes and classification data
  • Liaise with customs authorities, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders
  • Support trade compliance and classification governance activities
  • Resolve classification-related issues and drive process improvements
  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions



The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in Customs Classification, Trade Compliance, Customs Operations, or International Trade
  • Strong knowledge of HS Codes, tariff classification, and customs regulations
  • Experience classifying chemical, petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing-related products
  • Background within the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, manufacturing, or related industries
  • Experience engaging with customs authorities and regulatory bodies
  • A background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related disciplines will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of SAP or SAP GTS is an added advantage
  • German language proficiency is highly preferred but not mandatory
  • Comfortable supporting European stakeholders and working shift hours (3pm-12am or 4pm-1am) with a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days from home). Candidates seeking APAC working hours are welcome to apply, as related opportunities may also be available.
