Job Description

  • Lead the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
  • Manage the Group's financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial results across subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act 2016, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, including year-end statutory audits and the preparation of audit schedules.
  • Review accounting treatment for significant transactions and provide guidance on technical accounting matters.
  • Monitor and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and reporting processes to ensure governance and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with business units and senior management to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax consultants, company secretaries, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while driving continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
