The Failure Analysis (FA) Section Manager leads all failure analysis activities supporting semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, reliability, and customer quality requirements. The role is responsible for managing technical teams, driving root cause investigations, resolving complex product and process issues, and delivering continuous yield and reliability improvements through data-driven problem solving.

Job Description

  • Lead and develop the Failure Analysis team.
  • Drive complex failure investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Support advanced packaging technologies including Flip Chip, WLCSP, Fan-Out, SiP, and BGA.
  • Manage customer escalations and present technical findings.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Reliability teams.
  • Oversee FA laboratory operations, equipment, and capability development.
  • Implement corrective actions to improve yield, quality, and reliability.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of semiconductor Failure Analysis, Reliability, or Quality Engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced packaging technologies and failure mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with FA tools such as SEM, FIB, CSAM, and X-Ray.
  • Proven leadership experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or OSAT environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills.
