Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver business-aligned solutions.
  • Lead and support data migration initiatives from legacy systems to cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, security, and integrity across all stages of the data lifecycle.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the data platform, including Denodo-related bugs and workflow disruptions.
  • Collaborate on business project implementation by providing timely data support and platform enhancements.
  • Leverage tools like Power BI to support business reporting, dashboards, and visual analytics.
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering trends and technologies, applying them to improve the overall data infrastructure.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Engineer should have:

  • 3-6 years of hands-on experience in a professional data engineering environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and working with reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Experience with both on-prem and cloud environments, preferably in transformation or migration contexts.
  • Exposure to platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Denodo is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
