Job Description

As the Telecom Big Data & Data Architecture Expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor to telecom operators, leading consulting engagements, architecture planning, governance programs, and large-scale data transformation projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with telecom operator stakeholders to assess business challenges, identify opportunities, and define data strategies.
  • Lead consulting engagements covering:
    • Enterprise Data Architecture
    • Big Data Platforms
    • Data Governance
    • Data Warehousing
    • Data Lake and Lakehouse Solutions
    • Data Integration and Data Services
  • Conduct business analysis and requirements gathering across keytelecom domains, including:
    • OSS/BSS
    • Customer Management
    • Product Management
    • Marketing
    • Sales Channels
    • Customer Service
    • Network Operations
  • Design enterprise-wide data architectures, data models, governance frameworks, and technical roadmaps.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and implement modern data platforms leveraging Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and enterprise integration frameworks.
  • Lead workshops and strategic discussions with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, enterprise architects, and senior executives.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-driven solutions and recommendations.
  • Drive data governance initiatives, including:
    • Data Standards
    • Data Quality
    • Metadata Management
    • Data Lineage
    • Data Asset Management
    • Master Data Management
    • Data Security
  • Apply industry standards and frameworks such as TM Forum SID and telecom data models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for large-scale migration, modernization, and data platform transformation projects.
  • Mentor architects, engineers, and project teams while supporting architecture governance and delivery excellence.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • More than 10 years of experience in data management, data architecture, analytics, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Extensive experience working with telecommunications operators, telecom consulting firms, ICT solution providers, or large-scale telecom transformation projects.
  • Deep understanding of OSS/BSS systems and telecom operational and commercial processes.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, including:
    • Data Warehouse
    • Data Lake / Lakehouse
    • Data Fabric
    • Data Integration
    • Enterprise Data Services
  • Advanced data modeling capabilities covering conceptual, logical, physical, normalized, and dimensional models.
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as:
    • Hadoop
    • Spark
    • Kafka
    • SQL
    • MPP / OLAP Platforms
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and enterprise data management principles.
  • Knowledge of TM Forum SID, telecom data standards, and Open APIs will be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent consulting, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to engage with C-level stakeholders and translate business challenges into scalable data solutions.
  • Fluent English communication skills with experience working in international and multicultural environments.
  • Experience leading large-scale data platform implementation, migration, modernization, or governance initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
