The Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud and OS platforms across hybrid environments. This role focuses on cloud infrastructure management (AWS/Azure), OS lifecycle operations, and container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes), ensuring high availability, security compliance, and operational efficiency.

Job Description

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Perform OS lifecycle management, including provisioning, configuration, patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation for Linux/Windows environments.
  • Ensure system security and compliance by implementing best practices for OS hardening, access control, and regular patch management.
  • Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, ensuring high availability and business continuity readiness.
  • Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, supporting application deployment and orchestration.
  • Create and maintain standardized OS templates and images to enable consistent and efficient environment provisioning.
  • Implement and enhance automation tooling (e.g., scripting, IaC tools) to improve infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to support CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless platform integration.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures to maintain knowledge sharing and governance standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of experience in cloud platform engineering or infrastructure roles, with strong hands-on exposure to modern cloud environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Solid expertise in OSlifecycle management, including:
    • Provisioning and configuration
    • Patching and system hardening
    • Vulnerability management and remediation
  • Proven experience in backup & recovery solutions and disaster recovery (DR) planning to ensure system resilience and business continuity.
  • Proficiency in container platforms, including:
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting, such as Terraform, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of OS image/template creation and environment standardization to support scalable and consistent deployments.
