The Chargeman BO 11kV is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of 11kV electrical infrastructure within a facility environment. The Chargeman will handle troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety standards while supporting operational continuity.

Job Description

  • System Maintenance: Manage and maintain 11kV electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, and protection systems
  • Repairs & Troubleshooting: Perform fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance, and operational troubleshooting
  • Shift Coverage: Support shift work and weekend operations as required
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Execute preventive maintenance programmes to ensure system reliability
    • Conduct switching operations in compliance with ST safety standards
    • Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation
  • Monitoring & Inspection:
    • Carry out routine inspections, thermal imaging, and load analysis
    • Identify potential system failures and implement preventive actions
  • Emergency Coordination: Liaise with power supply authorities for outages, inspections, and supply-related matters
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with regulatory and audit requirements
  • Operational Support: Assist the facilities team in ensuring stable and efficient building power supply



The Successful Applicant

A successful Chargeman BO 11kV should have:

  • Valid BO 11kV certification issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
  • 2-5 years of experience working with high voltage electrical systems in an industrial environment
  • Familiarity with energy management systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
