As part of its continued growth and procurement transformation journey, the company is seeking an experienced Indirect Category Manager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships, and optimize indirect spend management across the business.This role offers an opportunity to work closely with regional and global stakeholders while supporting key functions such as Facilities, IT, Logistics, Professional Services, HR, Utilities, and other indirect procurement categories.Job DescriptionDevelop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned indirect procurement categories.Lead supplier selection, RFQ/RFP processes, commercial negotiations, and contract management activities.Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure high service levels, cost competitiveness, and business continuity.Identify and implement cost reduction, demand management, and value creation initiatives.Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Facilities, IT, HR, Operations, and other business functions to understand requirements and align sourcing strategies.Drive supplier performance management through regular business reviews and KPI monitoring.Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.Lead contract renewals, vendor consolidation, and supplier rationalization initiatives where appropriate.Support procurement governance, compliance, and ESG objectives across the supply base.Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical services and indirect materials.Drive continuous improvement projects focused on procurement efficiency, process optimization, and stakeholder satisfaction.Contribute to the overall category management strategy and procurement transformation initiatives.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.Minimum 8-15 years of experience in indirect procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.Proven experience managing indirect categories such as Facilities, IT, Logistics, MRO, Professional Services, HR Services, Travel, Utilities, or Corporate Services.Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience.Experience managing supplier relationships within a regional or global environment.Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive sourcing initiatives independently.Experience with procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or similar platforms is advantageous.Familiarity with supplier risk management, sustainability initiatives, and procurement best practices is preferred.What's on OfferBe part of a globally recognised organisation.Work in a dynamic, innovative environment with opportunities for growth.Competitive remuneration and benefits packageContactVictor DharmarajaQuote job refJN-082026-7077545Phone number+60323024108Job summaryFunctionProcurement & Supply ChainSpecialisationIndirect ProcurementWhat is your area of specialisation?Industrial / ManufacturingLocationPenangContract TypePermanentConsultant nameVictor DharmarajaConsultant contact+60323024108Job ReferenceJN-082026-7077545
