The Group is currently expanding its global footprint and strengthening its specialised market presence across multiple strategic segments. To support this next phase of growth, the company is looking for a Business Unit Director to lead the 3C, Energy Storage & Automotive divisions.

This role is central to shaping global commercial strategy, driving segment performance, and developing high‑impact teams across international markets.

Job Description

The Business Unit Director (3C Electronics, Automotive, Energy Storage) will lead the global commercial strategy, P&L performance, and market growth of both business segments. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role oversees market expansion, key account management, commercial strategy, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive long-term business success across multiple regions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the global commercial, sales, and marketing activities for the 3C Electronics, Automotive & Energy Storage segments.
  • Define and execute segment strategies, annual business plans, and growth targets.
  • Manage overall P&L performance, ensuring revenue, margin, and market share objectives are met.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with top-tier customers, OEMs, system integrators, and strategic partners.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, applications, and customer segments.
  • Analyze global market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscapes to support decision-making.
  • Lead pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to drive product development, solution delivery, and successful project execution.
  • Champion innovation and product improvements based on market trends and customer feedback.
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing international commercial team.
  • Ensure strong alignment and execution across regional teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide timely business updates, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, Energy, Business, Marketing, or related fields; Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, commercial management, or business leadership within relevant sectors such as 3C electronics, automotive, consumer electronics manufacturing, energy storage, ESS, battery systems, or precision manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading regional or global commercial teams in multinational or industry‑leading organisations.
  • Deep understanding of the global 3C, automotive and energy storage value chains, including major platforms, product lifecycles, ecosystem players, and supply chain structures.
  • Demonstrated existing networks and strong industry contacts across relevant customer groups, enabling immediate commercial engagement and accelerated market access.
  • Proven experience collaborating with top-tier international brands, leading OEMs, or major technology manufacturers across either the 3C, automotive or ESS ecosystems.
  • Strong competency in P&L management, pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and commercial decision‑making.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross‑cultural teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to make data‑driven commercial decisions.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to thrive in fast‑paced and dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to undertake international travel in line with regional and global business requirements
