Job Description

  • Manage and optimise transport operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for seamless logistics processes.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising operational efficiency.
  • Monitor transport KPIs and ensure adherence to performance standards.
  • Resolve logistical issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities and prepare regular reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to meet departmental objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Manager - Transport should have:

  • Experience in procurement and supply chain, particularly in transport or logistics management.
  • Strong analytical skills to optimise logistics processes and reduce costs.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for transport management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to transportation in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving logistical challenges.

What's on Offer

  • Annual salary between MYR 72,000 and MYR 84,000.
