The Application Engineer will be responsible to prepare high-quality, commercially competitive engineered proposals and tender submissions for customized power generation and industrial infrastructure projects. The role combines engineering, costing, supplier engagement, technical design and project support, providing exposure across the full project lifecycle from opportunity assessment through equipment validation and project delivery.

Job Description

  • Review RFQs, tenders, and specifications to assess feasibility and develop compliant technical solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, commercial submissions, project costing, and tender documentation.
  • Select equipment, systems, and customizations that meet customer and project requirements.
  • Develop supplier networks, obtain competitive quotations, and support supply chain activities.
  • Provide technical support to sales, customers, consultants, and project teams.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, drawings, quality plans, testing, commissioning, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure quality, compliance, and delivery requirements are achieved.
  • Support project execution, inspections, audits, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in power generation, industrial equipment, or engineered solutions.
  • Proven experience in tendering, proposal preparation, costing, estimation, and supplier coordination.
  • Strong understanding of power generation systems, equipment selection, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
