Job Description

  • Lead solution architecture for migration from legacy core banking systems to modern, cloud-native platforms
  • Define and deliver phased transformation roadmaps aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements
  • Design target-state architecture supporting retail and SME banking operations
  • Architect microservices-based, API-first solutions on public cloud platforms
  • Design scalable infrastructure to support high-volume banking transactions
  • Apply modern architectural patterns, including event-driven design, containerisation, and serverless computing
  • Establish integration architecture across digital channels, payments, and third-party services
  • Develop progressive migration and cutover strategies, including rollback and business continuity planning
  • Lead data migration planning, mapping, and quality assurance activities
  • Coordinate delivery with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Present architectural recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs
  • Provide advisory input on technology selection and implementation decisions



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
  • 8-12 years of experience in banking technology, including 5+ years in solution architecture roles
  • Proven experience delivering core banking transformation or migration initiatives
  • Strong understanding of core banking modules and large-scale modernisation programmes
  • Experience designing cloud-native architectures using microservices and API-first approaches
  • Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks preferred
  • Professional certification as a solution architect on a major public cloud platform
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex transformation programmes end-to-end
  • Experience with next-generation core banking platforms is an advantage
  • Knowledge of real-time processing, event streaming, and advanced analytics use cases is beneficial
  • Familiarity with regional banking regulations and financial services environments
