It operates with a focus on sustainability and maintaining high standards in its field.Job DescriptionTax Compliance & ReportingPrepare and file all tax returns (Corporate, GST, deferred tax, withholding tax, VAT, DST) and post related tax entries and reconciliations to accounts in coordination with ICF.Monitor and follow up on all tax refunds, including GST, with ICF.Ensure compliance with corporate income tax withholding rules on cross-border payments.Support transfer pricing matters and provide guidance on intercompany transactions.Prepare required information and written responses to local tax authorities, in coordination with ICF.Assist ICF with tax audits.Month-End / Year-End ActivitiesPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax provisions in line with Group Guidelines and the Internal Control System (ICS) framework.Maintain and update contingent liabilities, Deferred Tax Asset (DTA) / Deferred Tax Liability (DTL) schedules.Prepare tax schedules for auditors, local tax authorities, and ICF.Ensure provisions, group charges, and supporting documentation are maintained for transfer pricing compliance.Prepare and review quarterly tax payment estimates.Maintain an accurate tax database of carry-forward balances and monitor movements in tax codes within the balance sheet, ensuring three-way reconciliations.Business PartneringCoordinate with cross-functional teams to optimise tax outflows and assess tax implications.Provide tax support for Capex decisions and Permanent Establishment (PE) considerations.Assess and quantify potential tax benefits for the business and prepare proposals for stakeholders.Audit & GovernanceAssist in preparing documentation for tax audits and annual statutory audits, collaborating with auditors, consultants, and the Shared Service Centre for timely and accurate financial close.Ensure all tax activities comply with corporate policies, the authority matrix, and ICS requirements.Liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.Support ICF with Registrar of Companies requirements.Assist the Tax Manager with matters related to tax litigations.Work with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.Maintain comprehensive and accurate audit documentation.The Successful ApplicantA successful Tax Analyst should have:Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements in Malaysia.Proficiency in using tax software and related tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing tasks.Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external authorities.What's on OfferHybrid working arrangements for better work-life balance.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.Inclusive and supportive workplace culture.This is a fantastic opportunity in tax to make an impact in your career.
