The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible to develop structural design packages for infrastructure solutions, including preliminary, detailed, and IFC-level designs. The role also supports ongoing engineering improvements, BOQ reviews, and provides technical guidance to cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles.

Job Description

  • Develop preliminary, detailed, and IFC-level structural design packages
  • Perform structural analysis using FEA software tools
  • Design steel structures, including connections and load support systems
  • Support ongoing engineering improvements for production designs
  • Review structural BOQs for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide technical support to subcontractors, project, QA/QC, safety, and procurement teams
  • Participate in tender-stage design calculations and technical proposals
  • Design prefabricated and modular steel components for infrastructure projects
  • Ensure designs account for environmental conditions such as high wind or typhoon scenarios
  • Collaborate closely with regional engineering and product teams

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field)
  • Approximately 7 years' experience in steel building construction projects
  • At least 5 years of hands-on structural design experience
  • Strong understanding of steel design methodologies and standards
  • Proficiency in FEA software for structural analysis (eg: StaadPro)
  • Familiarity with prefabricated/modular construction and steel components
  • Basic experience with Revit or similar design tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to document functional requirements and technical designs clearly
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, positive attitude and creativity
