Process Expertise & ComplianceMaintain full mastery ofSQE workflow, covering:Supplier selection and sourcing planningAPQP/PPAP and pre-payment approvalsDaily supplier performance managementStandardize processes and ensure adherence to internal quality systems and industry regulations (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).3. Leadership & Team DevelopmentSupervise and develop a team of SQE engineers/technical staff.Set KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and promote capability development.Build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.4. Project ManagementLead cross-functional initiatives for new product launches, supplier transfers, and capacity expansion.Create project schedules, allocate resources, and manage risks.Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.5. Quality, Safety & Compliance OversightEnsure supplier systems meet required quality, safety, and regulatory criteria.Support audits and drive CAPA activities with suppliers.Ensure FMEA and other risk assessments are properly executed and kept current.6. Technical & Strategic SupportAssess and introduce new supplier technologies and automation to elevate quality.Support cost reduction efforts, capacity studies, and long-term operational strategies.Align supplier capabilities with overall business direction.The Successful ApplicantQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.Master's degree or certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, CSQP, or PMP is a plus.6-10 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering within automotive manufacturing.Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Demonstrated success in supplier process improvement and operational excellence.Skills & CompetenciesDeep experience across all SQE functions: sourcing, supplier qualification, APQP, PPAP, daily supplier quality monitoring.Strong command of quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, RCA.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong project and stakeholder management abilities.Proficiency in engineering and data tools (AutoCAD, Minitab, SPC platforms, ERP/MES).Solid understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA standards.What's on OfferMonthly salary between MYR 9,000 and MYR 14,000.Opportunity to work with a reputable multinational corporation (MNC).Permanent position in a professional and collaborative environment.This is a unique opportunity to advance your career as a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager in the automotive industry.
