The Site Engineer will be responsible to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission‑critical data center infrastructure to ensure high availability, safety, and compliance with service level commitments. This role supports continuous operations through hands‑on technical work, coordination of vendors, incident response, and participation where required.

Job Description

  • Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and daily scheduling of electrical, mechanical, and technical infrastructure
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and vendors to ensure safe and compliant execution of works
  • Execute equipment and system switching procedures with minimal operational disruption
  • Monitor infrastructure via site inspections and building management systems and respond to incidents
  • Support 24x7 operations, including on‑call duties.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, proactively identify risks, and support service delivery objectives
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as MOPs, Change Requests, and Emergency Operating Procedures
  • Enforce safety standards, approved processes, and regulatory requirements at all times
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement programs
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and task oversight
  • Support ad hoc projects including fire safety, sustainability, audits, capacity planning, and disaster recovery

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mission‑critical environments such as data centers or similar facilities
  • Valid chargeman BO33KV qualification
  • Technical education or certification in engineering or mission‑critical operations
  • Vocational training or equivalent hands‑on experience in site engineering or technical operations
  • Practical experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with fire detection and suppression systems is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of elevators, conveyor systems, or technical security systems (CCTV, access control)
  • Ability to use testing and diagnostic tools effectively
  • Relevant internal or industry certifications are an advantage
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proactive, customer‑focused mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage incidents effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in shift‑based environments
