The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible to develop detailed electrical design packages for construction and provide technical support from installation through testing and commissioning. The role also collaborates closely with regional teams and supply chain functions to ensure smooth delivery of infrastructure solutions.

Job Description

  • Produce Issued For Construction (IFC) drawing packages
  • Develop and maintain detailed electrical design drawings
  • Sustain engineering support for existing production designs
  • Review and validate Electrical Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
  • Provide technical guidance to subcontractors during installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Collaborate with project managers, QA/QC, safety, and procurement teams
  • Support supply chain and materials management on technical requirements
  • Prepare testing and commissioning documentation
  • Liaise with contractors and factory engineering teams as needed
  • Develop detailed LV design calculations and ensure compliance with standards
  • Support tender documentation and design reviews

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in LV electrical design and construction
  • Strong understanding of LV and ELV systems, preferably in data centre projects
  • Experience preparing detailed electrical design calculations
  • Familiarity with Revit or equivalent design tools
  • Experience in testing and commissioning of LV power distribution systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot, validate, and support manufacturing testing
  • Knowledge of design standards and tender documentation processes
  • Consultancy background is advantageous
  • ETAP software knowledge is a plus
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Positive attitude with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
