Job Description

  • Develop and execute automation strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Lead the deployment and integration of industrial automation, robotics, and smart manufacturing solutions across production facilities.
  • Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives by implementing IoT, PLC/SCADA, MES, and other digital technologies to enable smart factory capabilities.
  • Manage end-to-end automation CAPEX projects, including concept development, design, implementation, commissioning, and performance validation.
  • Identify process inefficiencies through data analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation systems to ensure maximum equipment reliability and performance.
  • Implement predictive maintenance strategies and asset lifecycle management programs to improve equipment uptime and reduce operational costs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and automation solutions, providing recommendations that enhance production capabilities and business competitiveness.
  • Manage and develop strategic relationships with regional vendors, system integrators, and technology partners across China, Japan, and India.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and capability building by providing technical leadership, coaching, and training to engineering and operations teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automation within manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably with experience or exposure to glove manufacturing.
  • Strong technical expertise in automation systems, controls, and digital manufacturing technologies.
  • Proven experience in robotics, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and process automation systems.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale automation projects within continuous process industries.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver results on time.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of life sciences industry standards, regulatory requirements, and automation best practices.
  • Experience in vendor management, technology assessment, and evaluation of emerging automation solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with mandatory Mandarin proficiency and strong English communication abilities to support cross-functional teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
