Job Description

  • Work closely with Operations Managers, Global Process Managers, and Performance Improvement teams to regularly review end-to-end processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive actions to enhance efficiency, performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Engage with GBS leadership and key internal stakeholders, including Global Headquarters, Local Management, and Lines of Business, to contribute to business strategy and planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Country Finance teams and other end-to-end GBS and HQ processes to identify, manage, and mitigate potential operational and accounting risks.
  • Lead and continuously improve the performance and efficiency of the Record-to-Report (RTR) function through regular KPI reviews, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment by overseeing change management processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies to safeguard the integrity of financial information.
  • Present and document business processes in a structured manner to optimize efficiency and quality, including the development of data architecture, governance practices, and procedures related to data maintenance, protection, delivery, and quality.
  • Define clear action plans and implementation roadmaps, utilizing available resources effectively to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Review journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounting analysis reports to ensure completeness, accuracy, and appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Ensure period-end closing activities are executed effectively and efficiently in line with established closing schedules and standard procedures; any deviations are properly documented and approved.
  • Drive and implement process and system improvement initiatives to create synergies across systems, functions, and geographic regions.
  • Support effective decision-making by applying sound judgment based on data-driven insights.
  • Develop a strong understanding of finance systems and tools, working closely with IT, SAP, and other functions to enable process automation and digitalization.
  • Manage multiple finance projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Manage, lead, develop, inspire, and motivate the team to foster a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Set clear team objectives, regularly review individual performance, and provide timely and constructive feedback to ensure alignment with expectations and goals.
  • Continuously coach and develop team members' technical and soft skills to support career progression and performance improvement.
  • Effectively manage team workload and resource allocation to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of core finance activities.
  • Monitor and manage RTR performance, ensuring delivery against service levels, KPIs, and business expectations.
  • Guide and empower the team to resolve issues, assess alternatives, and identify improvement opportunities aligned with business needs.
  • Identify training and development needs and build team capabilities to support current and future business requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a professional qualification (CPA, MIA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounting, Finance, or Shared Services, with strong Record-to-Report (RTR) exposure.
  • At least 2 years of people management experience, managing teams of 8 or more.
  • Experience in multinational or regional corporate environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to analyze financial results to support business decisions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; fluency in English, with Mandarin as an advantage.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other financial systems, BI tools, and office productivity software.
  • Experience leading migration, transformation, or process improvement initiatives with strong change management skills.
