Job Description

  • Advise the leadership team on enterprise risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and decision-making.
  • Maintain and oversee the Country Risk Appetite Statement and defined tolerance thresholds.
  • Ensure alignment with International Risk Governance Frameworks and corporate standards.
  • Lead the implementation and embedding of governance frameworks across IT, Finance/SOX, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and People functions.
  • Provide independent 2nd Line risk oversight and assurance across all key risk domains.
  • Oversee policy governance, including approval processes, delegation of authority, and procedural controls.
  • Chair and coordinate the Country Risk Committee, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Country Risk Register.
  • Deliver structured, timely risk reporting and escalation to International Headquarters and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive a strong, proactive risk culture through leadership engagement, awareness initiatives, and targeted training.
  • Partner closely with local functional leaders, International Risk, and Enterprise Risk/Internal Audit teams to ensure effective risk alignment and remediation.
  • Support audit activities, management action plans, and continuous improvement of policies and control frameworks.
  • Provide risk advisory support for strategic initiatives and M&A activities, including due diligence and ensuring alignment with Risk Appetite parameters.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Risk Manager should have:

  • At least 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in Corporate Governance and/or Risk Management, ideally gained within a reputable organisation.
  • Academic background or professional certification in Risk Management is considered an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree would be beneficial.
  • Excellent command of English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, coupled with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to integrate risk management practices with overall organisational strategy and business objectives.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in developing teams and promoting a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
