Job Description

  • Conduct hazard assessments using global regulatory frameworks such as GHS, CLP, REACH, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), classification, labelling, and hazard communication documentation.
  • Interpret and apply regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions to ensure full compliance.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory updates, evaluating their impact on products and business operations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., supply chain, technical, customer service) to implement compliance strategies.
  • Provide regulatory guidance, training, and support to enhance awareness and adherence to safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalisation and process optimisation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or degree or diploma in related field.
  • Fluent in both English and Japanese min JLPT N2 (written and spoken).
  • 3-4 years of experience in chemical regulation, product safety, or regulatory affairs.
  • Strong knowledge of regional and global chemical regulations (e.g., REACH, GHS/CLP).
  • Experience in toxicology, ecotoxicology, SDS authoring, or product stewardship is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
