Job Description

  • Develop and implement ocean freight strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and service levels.
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end ocean freight operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Analyze freight market trends and negotiate contracts with carriers and service providers.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of freight documentation and ensure smooth customs clearance processes.
  • Identify and resolve logistics challenges to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of logistics operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Regional Category Senior Manager (Logistics) should have:

  • Educational qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in ocean freight and logistics operations, particularly within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international freight regulations and customs processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage relationships with stakeholders and service providers.
