This is a Malaysian company that specializes in developing custom smart factory automation systems for global industries, including electric vehicles, battery storage, semiconductors, and healthcare.

Job Description

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best combination of price, quality, and lead time aligned with project needs.
  • Oversee the full procurement cycle-from requisition and purchase order issuance to timely material delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules, resolve issues related to defective items, and handle warranty claims.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure consistent performance in delivery and product quality.
  • Assist the tender team by sourcing updated pricing information from suppliers.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Purchasing Executive should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience in project-based manufacturing or assembly environments is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical components is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Well-organized, able to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced working environments.
