Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the accounts payable team to ensure efficient operations and timely processing of invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review financial reports related to accounts payable functions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address payment issues and inquiries.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure professional development and high performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful AP Team Lead should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10 years of accounts payable processes and financial controls experience within the Shared Services environment.
  • 5 years plus of managing a team is a (MUST HAVE)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Leadership abilities to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
