Job Description

  • Oversee and control daily production operations to meet planned schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Review and adjust production plans to manage equipment downtime, material shortages, and demand fluctuations.
  • Analyse and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and shopfloor teams to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality team to ensure products meet internal standards and industry regulations.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe and disciplined production environment.
  • Track, analyse, and report production performance including output, efficiency, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures and safety rules across all production levels.
  • Champion Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Quality, and Environmental policies within the department.
  • Support and comply with Quality and Environmental Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Provide leadership, resources, and guidance to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Manager should have:

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive assembly or production operations management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience managing and developing large production teams.
  • Solid knowledge of safety, health, and environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
