The position focuses on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, product enhancements, engineering change management, and supporting product performance across the product lifecycle.

Job Description

  • Support the design, analysis, and optimisation of existing RF systems, products, and subsystems.
  • Become a technical expert on existing RF Generator and RF Match products through detailed review of released designs and documentation.
  • Diagnose product performance, reliability, manufacturing yield, and field issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Conduct design verification testing and prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Manage engineering changes through the ECO process and ensure adherence to engineering procedures.
  • Identify product limitations and drive continuous improvements to performance and manufacturability.
  • Lead engineering activities using project management methodologies and tools.
  • Support and provide guidance to technicians and junior engineers.
  • Analyse manufacturing data using statistical methods to improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Technical Support, and Product Marketing teams.
  • Evaluate and replace obsolete electronic components whilst maintaining product functionality and performance.



The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Approximately 4-5 years of engineering experience within electronics, power electronics, RF engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas such as:
    • RF circuits and impedance matching networks
    • AC-DC power conversion
    • Power factor correction
    • High-power transistors and rectifiers
    • Digital and analogue control systems
    • Magnetic component design
    • RF testing and measurement systems
  • Experience using analytical methods, diagnostic tools, and laboratory equipment for troubleshooting and validation.
  • Strong project management, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple business functions.
