The Product Control (Senior Manager) will oversee end-to-end FM P&L (Financial Markets) product & valuation control functions. This permanent role is a role to contribute to the Banking & Financial Services department.

Job Description

  • Monitor daily P&L and balance sheet controls across asset classes including FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, and Treasury.
  • Ensure timely completion and review of key financial controls and reconciliations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across Technology, Finance, Risk, Operations, and Product Control teams.
  • Review daily and month-end reconciliations between trading systems and the General Ledger.
  • Support month-end close activities, including journals, balance sheet substantiation, and AvF reconciliations.
  • Assist with IFRS 9 classification and measurement of financial instruments.
  • Develop and enhance data integrity, exception reporting, and process automation initiatives.
  • Maintain process documentation and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on the bank's business strategy, operating model, and market environment

The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Control (Senior Manager) should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, CA, MBA, or a related field.
  • Strong background in similar field. (welcome auditor or accounting background!)
  • Good understanding of Accounting and Financial Markets Products.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
