Our client is a global procurement and supply chain consultancy headquartered in London, with a growing international footprint and recently expanded offices in Shanghai and Mexico. As part of their business growth strategy, they are building a procurement delivery team in Kuala Lumpur to support large-scale sourcing and transformation projects for multinational clients across various industries

Job Description



Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Support end-to-end sourcing and procurement projects across indirect spend categories.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, conduct market assessments, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage RFx activities, including RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and support commercial negotiations.
  • Conduct spend analysis and develop procurement insights to support client decision-making.



Category & Supplier Management

  • Assist in managing supplier relationships and performance reviews.
  • Support supplier selection, onboarding, and contract management activities.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and contractual commitments.



Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal project teams and client stakeholders to deliver procurement objectives.
  • Support procurement transformation and cost optimisation initiatives for large corporate clients.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and project teams.
  • Prepare client presentations, sourcing recommendations, and project updates.



Procurement Operations & Governance

  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with client procurement policies and governance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation, sourcing records, and audit trails.
  • Support procurement reporting, project tracking, and performance measurement activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Category Management.
  • Experience supporting large-scale procurement projects and sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong background in indirect procurement categories.
  • Previous consulting or client-facing experience is highly preferred.
  • Oil & Gas industry procurement experience will be a strong advantage.
  • Strong sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with multinational or regional stakeholders is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement tools.
