About Our Client

The company in Malaysia is involved in the exploration, production, and distribution of oil and natural gas. It operates in the upstream sector, focusing on oil and gas exploration and production, while also advancing renewable energy projects as part of a broader transition to low-carbon energy solutions.

Job Description

  • Develop and manage a portfolio-wide delivery plan that aligns with overall business themes and priorities.
  • Engage and communicate with key stakeholders (GSC, FBT, BTC, PU, and functional teams) to support the transformation program.
  • Integrate project updates from Project Managers and consolidate portfolio reporting with accurate, timely information.
  • Track and represent progress against strategic initiatives to ensure transparency and appropriate oversight.
  • Manage interdependencies within the transformation program, resolving risks and issues effectively.
  • Lead project initiation, scoping, data gathering, and coordination with key stakeholders until the project is defined.
  • Define, track, and manage project KPIs, baseline financials, and status reporting throughout the project lifecycle.



The Successful Applicant

  • Strong Project Management Skills: Expertise in managing large, multi-functional, and complex projects, with a focus on delivering transformation programs and continuous improvement activities.
  • Industry Experience: Knowledge and experience in the lubricants business and supply chain within the AsPac region, enabling effective decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders across different levels and functions, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of transformation projects.
  • Problem-Solving and Risk Management: Strong skills in identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and issues, with a proactive approach to resolving interdependencies and challenges.
  • Analytical and Financial Acumen: Ability to define and track project financials, KPIs, and performance, ensuring projects meet budget and timeline expectations.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Capability to manage ambiguity, complexity, and the inevitable challenges that come with transformation projects.
  • Relevant Certifications and Qualifications: A degree or equivalent education, along with certifications in Project Management, Six Sigma, APICS, or related fields, would be advantageous.
