As a Technical Business Analyst (Payments), you will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams to gather requirements, analyse processes, define test strategies, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality technology solutions. A key focus of this role is supporting Payments transformation initiatives, making hands-on experience with Payments and ISO 20022 messaging standards a critical requirement.

Job Description

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements
  • Drive end-to-end business analysis activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Support payment system enhancements, integrations, and transformation projects, with a strong focus on ISO 20022-compliant payment messaging
  • Develop and execute test strategies, test cases, and quality assurance activities to ensure successful project delivery
  • Work closely with development teams to validate system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate testing efforts
  • Perform data analysis and support business process improvements through technology solutions
  • Contribute to Agile delivery initiatives, project documentation, and continuous improvement of QA and testing practices
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications

The Successful Applicant

A successful ITBA (Payments) should have:

  • Over 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Technical Analysis, or Quality Assurance within enterprise technology environments
  • Strong experience in Payments systems, with hands-on exposure to payment processes, transaction flows, and financial messaging standards
  • Proven experience working with ISO 20022, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation, or transformation initiatives
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, test scenarios, and test cases
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through testing and delivery
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills for troubleshooting, validation, and reconciliation activities
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across business, technology, and project teams
