The company is focused on leveraging technology to enhance its services and streamline operations.Job DescriptionEstablish and enforce PMO governance by standardizing processes, templates, stage-gates, and metrics to ensure consistent, auditable project delivery.Oversee IT project portfolio performance by monitoring progress, enforcing disciplined reporting, and ensuring timely documentation across the full project lifecycle.Drive delivery excellence and service levels by tracking timelines, identifying delays early, and coordinating recovery plans with project stakeholders.Manage project risks, issues, and portfolio health by partnering with project managers to remove blockers and improve overall RAG status for IT Committee reporting.Coordinate governance forums (e.g., ITCM, PMO meetings) ensuring projects are presentation-ready, approvals are secured efficiently, and discussions are well-facilitated with clear follow-ups.Lead project audits, harvesting reviews, and portfolio optimization to capture insights, drive improvements, and support informed decision-making.Enhance PMO capabilities through transformation and automation by digitizing processes, improving dashboards/reporting, and increasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Implement and strengthen portfolio management practices including PPM frameworks, project prioritization, cost governance, financial tracking, and risk escalation mechanisms.Provide advisory and capability-building support to project managers on PMO governance, methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid), and maintain a lessons-learned knowledge base for continuous improvement.Drive strategic and forward-looking initiatives including IT satisfaction surveys, ESG risk integration, advanced analytics/reporting, and laying the foundation for AI-enabled project management frameworks.The Successful ApplicantEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in IT/Business (or related) with 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in PMO or project management.Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PMI-PMOCP, or PMI-CPMAI.PMO & Governance Expertise: Strong experience in IT project lifecycle management, PMO governance, and delivery assurance.Governance Forum Support: Hands-on experience managing steering/IT committees, including reporting, meeting preparation, and action tracking.Methodology Knowledge: Proficient in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches, with ability to translate into practical tools/templates.Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership.Analytical & Reporting Skills: Capable of defining KPIs/metrics, analyzing project performance, and clearly communicating risks/issues.Attention to Detail & Compliance: High rigor in documentation, governance standards, and timeline adherence.What's on OfferBasic benefits package to support your professional and personal needs.Opportunity to work within a large organization in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry.Collaborative work environment in the scenic location of Pahang.This is an excellent opportunity to lead impactful IT projects in a thriving industry.
