Job Description

  • Plan and execute IT audits across infrastructure, applications, databases, and cybersecurity controls in line with internal audit methodology and standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls
  • Assess risks and controls associated with IT systems and digital platforms used by the organization.
  • Perform audits of key IT systems
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and cybersecurity reviews, ensuring systems are protected against threats.
  • Review system development lifecycle (SDLC) and change management processes for compliance and adequacy.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather information, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for control improvements.
  • Follow up on audit issues to ensure timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, COBIT, PCI-DSS, etc.) and emerging IT risks or technologies.
  • Support external and regulatory audits by providing documentation and clarifying control frameworks as needed.
  • Assist in annual audit planning by identifying IT audit areas based on risk assessments.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Good knowledge of IT audit principles and practices
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, ACCA, CIA, or MIA will be an added advantage
