Job Description

  • Developed and implemented HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local regulations, OSHA/DOSH requirements, and company standards.
  • Led risk assessments, hazard identification initiatives, and implemented effective control measures to mitigate workplace risks.
  • Managed HSE audits, workplace inspections, and regulatory compliance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conducted incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinated emergency preparedness and response plans, ensuring organizational readiness for potential incidents.
  • Delivered HSE training, awareness programs, and safety coaching to employees, contractors, and management teams.
  • Monitored, analyzed, and reported HSE performance metrics, KPIs, and compliance documentation to support decision-making.
  • Ensured compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations while maintaining company and industry standards.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to strengthen safety culture and promote environmental sustainability across operations.
  • Stayed abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes, driving strategic improvements in safety and environmental performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field,
  • Minimum 7 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, preferably within FMCG food production.
  • Must possess a valid Green Book certification and strong working knowledge of DOSH requirements, OSHA principles, and Malaysian occupational health regulations.
  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, incident investigations, and corrective action programs to strengthen workplace safety performance.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage external regulatory inspections while ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
  • Deliver HSE training, awareness campaigns, and learning & development initiatives to build a strong safety culture across the organization.
  • Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP), emergency response preparedness, and security-related safety programs to ensure operational resilience.
  • Lead and mentor a team comprising 1 HSE Officer and 2 HSE Executives, overseeing documentation, compliance implementation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
