Job Description

  • Lead the overall curatorial strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and long-term development
  • Oversee animal welfare, husbandry, acquisitions, and population management to maintain best-in-class standards
  • Drive conservation, research, and sustainability initiatives in collaboration with academic and institutional partners
  • Enhance exhibits, storytelling, and educational content to improve visitor engagement and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to design visitor experiences that drive attendance and revenue
  • Support campaigns that increase footfall, repeat visits, and upsell opportunities
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to drive revenue-generating initiatives across ticketing, programmes, and experiences
  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities (e.g. premium exhibits, VIP experiences, sponsorships, and partnerships)
  • Support pricing strategy and product bundling to increase visitor yield per head
  • Contribute to annual revenue targets and growth plans
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams while establishing performance standards and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and accreditation standards
  • Manage departmental budgets and optimise resource allocation effectively
