The role also involves overseeing end-to-end product sourcing and supplier performance, collaborating with internal teams to meet timelines, resolve issues, and support production across international markets.

About Our Client

The client is a rapidly growing international manufacturer and distributor in the home improvement space, known for selling through major global retailers and its own e-commerce channels.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term sourcing strategies to support business goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new global suppliers, while maintaining strong relationships with existing ones.
  • Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract management, including handling RFP processes.
  • Assess supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and capacity, and address any risks or issues.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sourcing process, from product development and sampling to production launch.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., supply chain, engineering, product development) to ensure smooth execution and timelines.
  • Monitor supplier production and resolve any operational or production challenges.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Global Sourcing Lead should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or a related field
  • Strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing
  • Proven ability to manage projects and handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with global suppliers across different time zones
  • Strong communication skills, with additional language ability (e.g., Mandarin) being an advantage
