Job Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a customs operations team.
  • Provide expertise in HS Classification, customs declarations, Rules of Origin, and trade documentation.
  • Support customs dispute resolution and compliance-related matters.
  • Partner with regional stakeholders and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive standardisation, process improvement, and automation initiatives.
  • Support audits, risk management, and compliance governance activities.
  • Deliver training and knowledge-sharing across the team.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Customs Asia Pacific Manager should have:

  • Experience in Customs Operations, Trade Compliance, Import/Export Operations, or International Trade.
  • Strong knowledge of HS Codes, customs declarations, Certificates of Origin (COO), Rules of Origin, and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
  • Exposure to the chemical, manufacturing, or industrial sector would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience handling customs disputes, compliance requirements, and regulatory matters.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, mentoring, or team development experience.
  • Exposure to APAC operations and regional stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record in process improvement, standardisation, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience within a multinational or shared services environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP and customs-related systems is preferred.
  • High-performing Assistant Managers and Senior Executives with strong leadership potential are encouraged to apply.
