Job Description

  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and guidance to banking clients on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts related to banking operations.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international banking laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address legal and compliance challenges.
  • Provide training and updates to clients on regulatory developments and their implications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for banking clients.
  • Support dispute resolution and litigation processes as required.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging legal issues in the banking sector.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Consultant (Legal) should have:

  • A degree in Law or a related field, with strong academic performance.
  • 2 years PQE and above
  • Proven knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating legal documents in the financial services space.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex legal matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
