Job Description

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the manufacturing site.
  • Drive performance across safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary leadership team to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of assets, resources, and capital investments.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute site strategies aligned with overall business goals.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Manager of Operations should have:

  • A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing complex operations within a capital intensive environment
  • Extensive experience in leading large-scale manufacturing or industrial operations
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Candidates from heavy manufacturing, chemicals, petrochemicals, process industries, mining & minerals or other asset intensive industrial sectors are encouraged to apply
